Welcome to St. John’s Chiropractic. I’m Dr. Danny Tong, the low profile chiropractor. If you’re looking for a fancy, schmancy, chiropractic office, please keep on looking. If you’re looking for a down to earth and someone who does what is best for his patients, then perhaps I can help you.
What do you think of when you hear the word chiropractic? Perhaps twisting, jerking movements or manipulations come to mind. How about snap, crackle, pop? Sorry to disappoint you, that’s not what chiropractic is. Before we get into that, did you know that chiropractic is considered as one of the main health care providers in the U.S.A., Australia, U.K. and other European countries? In these countries, chiropractic is mainstream like medical and dental.
Chiropractic is a branch of health care that specializes on pain and injuries to the spine and neuromusculoskeletal system. Neuromusculoskeletal what??? Basically, chiropractors specializes in problems relating to your spine, muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints. Whether you believe in chiropractic or not, everyone has a spine, along with muscles, tendons, ligaments and joints. And sooner or later, pain, stiffness or injuries to the spine, muscles, etc., will occur. For those who believe in chiropractic, they don’t have to live with the pain.
Similar to prescription medications, chiropractic comes in several flavors. Some physicians prescribe Naprosyn, Tylenol 3, etc., for back and muscle pains and inflammation while others prescribe Gabapentin. Most people stereotyped chiropractic treatments with spinal adjustments. You know the snaps, crackles and pops. However, most people are not aware of soft tissue chiropractic.
I provide various soft tissue treatment methods in addition to specific chiropractic adjustments in treating people with low back pain, arthritis, headaches, or problems with their hips, knees, shoulders, ankles, feet, etc.
Your safety and well-being are my top priority. If you are afraid to get your neck adjusted, then I can treat your neck pain, headaches, etc., with soft tissue treatment methods. And if you’re a senior or have osteoporosis, perhaps soft tissue treatment methods may be more suitable in treating your low back pain, stiffness, arthritis, etc., compared to spinal adjustments. Whatever the situation may be, your safety and well-being are numero uno.
Imagine this. Let’s say that all chiropractors, dentists, massage therapists, physiotherapists, etc., have 5 stars rating on their Google reviews, who would you go to? Honestly, it doesn’t matter to me who you go to as long as you get results and that you’re happy. Thank you for your time and best wishes.
Cheers,
Danny Tong, D.C.
